The Events Coordinator is the on-site facility contact and is responsible for managing the setup, execution, and breakdown of events occurring. This position coordinates day to day operations within various facilities, including opening and closing of the building, and responding to inquiries and needs regarding events occurring in spaces. This oversight ensures that safe and well-executed events/programs which occur to support the recruitment and retention goals of the University.
Primary responsibilities include: - Management of the facility during designated shifts (open, close or mid- day) by providing oversight of facility operations and event setups according to event management software 25LIVE and diagrams. - Assist as customer relations specialist and point of contact with visitors and clients while providing quality concierge and customer service including support for Baumhart hotel/25fl. - Assist with the planning and oversight of internal related events. -Provide assistance and backup to the Event Managers - Provide oversight and supervision to student support team during designated shifts, including building operations managers and attendants, and event and information assistants in executing the daily facility plan. - Organize meetings, workshops, seminars, and other special events through the university scheduling system 25LIVE. - Work closely with campus partners including facilities, catering, media, public safety on event and guest housing information when needed. - Track and maintain facility related inventory that is critical to the support of events. Assist with setup of equipment for events - Assist the LSC & HSC with events, housing support and client services when needed. - This position may assist with training and working the student Ambassador Staff program. The Ambassador program aids guests, students, staff and faculty through safety measures, protocols, and guidelines during state of emergency or pandemic situations. - Schedule and coordinate all exhibitions, special events, dinners, lunches, and receptions· - Assist when needed with support for the museum. Which may include scheduling and supervising appropriate Museum staff (student workers/Docents).

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years of event and/or housing (hotel, hospitality industry) experience.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years experience managing events
Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking ability and attention to detail
Self-starter and able to work independently
Exceptional written and verbal communicator
Calm and positive attitude during busy and sometimes stressful activities
Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively with others, responsive and accountable to deadlines, adapts well to changing needs
