Job Summary:

The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the rank. Candidates at the rank of associate professor or professor will hold a leadership role in the department.

Duties will be: 80% Clinical 10% Research 10% Teaching

I. Outpatient and inpatient clinical service, teaching and research. II. Weekly clinical activities will generally include outpatient epilepsy clinics and may include general neurology clinics depending upon department needs UW Hospital and Clinics, VA Hospital and other locations. III. Serve as an attending on the inpatient epilepsy, IONM and EEG service for eight to twelve weeks. IV. Participate in extramurally funded clinical research to the extent that the activity can be integrated into clinical activities. V. Participate in teaching, mentoring and community education programs for undergraduates, graduate students, residents, fellows, other attending physicians, and the public.

Education:

Required Terminal Degree MD or DO is required

Qualifications:

Epilepsy, EEG or clinical neurophysiology Fellowship training or equivalent experience. Candidates for associate professor (CHS) or professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track. Candidates for clinical associate professor or clinical professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the Clinician Teacher track.
