Your new role Curtin University welcomes expressions of interest from academics and industry professionals seeking an opportunity to work in our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) program within the School of Education.
As a sessional academic you will contribute to the teaching effort of the school by preparing and conducting workshops, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations and sessions, as well as mark assessments and undertake other activities, as required, in relation to the assessment of students' work. In most circumstances, you will work as a member of a teaching team under the management of a unit coordinator. To be successful in this role, applicants should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and/or allied training and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience in Australian Education contexts.
Additionally, we are looking for practicum supervisors (in WA only) to mentor pre-service teachers on their practicum placements, including their final internship in schools. You will be required to provide appropriate mentorship and feedback to the pre-service teacher and liaise with mentor teachers, schools and the professional experience team. To be successful in this role, applicants should have a minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field and/or allied training and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry experience in Australian Education contexts. Must be located in Western Australia.
