Job Summary/Basic Function
About This Role:
Lead enrollment marketing and student success efforts for undergraduate
programs within the College of Education and Human Development. Coordinate and
manage outreach, recruitment and retention initiatives. The enrollment
marketing and success coordinator will report directly to the Dean of the
College of Education and Human Development as well as dual report within
Enrollment Management and Marketing.
What You'll Do – Position Duties
Enrollment Marketing
Serve as the marketing liaison and lead for recruiting activities and
initiatives for the College of Education and Human Development
Work with the College of Education and Human Development on branding and
messaging strategies for both undergraduate and graduate programs through
targeted research while in compliance with university overarching
strategies
Work closely with the Office of Admissions in recruiting prospective
students interested in programs in the College, to include various
outreach practices and work within the University CRM
Together with the university's marketing division, develop enrollment
templates and procedures to promote programs and departments
Coordinate and manage social media platforms presenting a cohesive
presence for the university and College of Education and Human Development
Perform the role of college web liaison by updating and maintaining
College of Education and Human Development web site; providing training
and support in the content management system for other users in the
college.
Communicate effectively with college subject matter experts to develop
content for recruiting purposes
Write and distribute news releases as necessary to highlight students,
faculty, staff, events and other notable promotions for departments and
programs within the college
Work with other college marketing coordinator counterparts to coordinate
joint activities and share related information and best practices
Work with the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid to assure
prospective students have the most accurate information concerning their
financial aid package
Work with the Office of Alumni Affairs to promote College Education and
Human Development products to graduates of Lamar University
Coordinate orientation programs for students accepted into the College of
Education and Human Development
Assist in meeting and exceeding the College's enrollment goals through
targeted and collaborative efforts across the University and College
Assist in coordinating the College of Education and Human Development
commencement activities
Serve as the College of Education and Human Development representative on
the University Yield Flight Team
Student Success
Establish College of Education and Human Development student retention
processes based on successful models and best practices
Lead the College of Education and Human Development retention and success
efforts by connecting with Departments and providing risk assessment and
creative solutions
Serve as the liaison between the College Dean, Department Chairs, Faculty
and Staff with the University Retention and Student Success (RSS) Office
for various projects targeting student success
Identify students at risk of withdrawal from the University and students
with progression barriers, using existing and new data. Meet one on one
with students, both in person and virtually, to establish an ongoing
relationship and connect them with proper academic and campus resources
Deliver student outreach based on data analysis, referrals, reports, and
student needs
Coordinate with the College of Education and Human Development Dean,
advisors, departments, faculty and staff to gather information and provide
reports on student progress
Contribute to student success initiatives within the Undergraduate
Advising Center, STAR Services, RSS, and other support departments
Work with other college success coach counterparts to coordinate joint
activities and share related information and best practices
Manage and analyze College of Education and Human Development student
retention data using EAB Navigate system, Banner, and similar programs
Assist in meeting and exceeding the College's first year retention,
4/6-year graduation rates through targeted and collaborative efforts
across the University and College
Serve as the College of Education and Human Development representative on
the University Re-enrollment and Retention Flight Team

Minimum Qualifications
What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; preferably in marketing, communication, business or
related field
3-5 years of related job experience.
