Your new role
Curtin English are seeking experienced and passionate English Language
Teachers to join the team on a casual basis. Curtin English offers in-person
and fully online General English and Academic English courses. Curtin English
courses are engaging and current with accessible themes, ensuring a high
quality student experience.
In this role, you will:
Teach English to international students on a pathway to Curtin University.
Teach General English and Academic English from Intermediate (CEFR B2)
to Advanced (CEFR C1).
Teach on face to face and online courses.
Provide a high-quality learning and teaching experience for Curtin English
Undertake teaching preparation and administrative duties in relation to
Curtin English courses.
Attend academic and administrative meetings in relation to Curtin English
Show evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
Work collegially and share knowledge with other Curtin English teachers.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
A recognised degree or equivalent and a recognised TESOL Certificate
(Cambridge CELTA or Trinity College Certificate in TESOL -
Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) or Masters in
TESOL - Desirable
Committed to obtaining the best learning outcomes for Curtin English
Committed to working collegially as well as the ability to work
Demonstrated focus on professional development and quality learning and
Demonstrated strong administration skills.
Highly developed interpersonal and cross-cultural skills.
