The University of Phoenix, Inc. seeks an Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to interact, collaborate and coordinate work on a frequent basis with other employees in IT and throughout the University.
Perform all basic phases of data analysis, including intake from a request queue, transformation or acquisition of data, report, dashboard, dataset creation, and documentation of
processes. Work with technical staff to understand, troubleshoot, and correct failures, outages, or data integrity issues. Participate in the development of IT systems user manuals and
documentation to support the ongoing use and application of the IT system. Identify and handle sensitive data using good judgement and IT security best practices to minimize or eliminate
compliance risks. Collaborate within a team environment to develop relevant and repeatable policies and procedures for preparing business reports and departmental processes. Maintain
and increase professional and technical knowledge and currency by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Telecommuting is permissible up to 5 days a week.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience with data analytics and data modeling, and data integration patterns and standards. Must have 2 years of experience of using each of the following: (1) writing queries using T-SQL or PL SQL; (2) designing and authoring reports and dashboards using Microsoft BI stack including SSIS, SSRS, Power BI; (3) SSMS, Oracle, PL SQL Developer, Visual Studio, Bitbucket; (4) JIRA; and (5) Redshift, RDS, HVR, Kafka, Informatica, Apache airflow, Amazon S3, and Dbeaver.

Hiring range for this position is between $67,187 and $114,000.
Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, and skills.
