Engagement & Communications Officer (Student Record System Programme)

The University of Plymouth is undertaking a large-scale programme of work to replace the Student Record System (SRS) and how changes can be made to improve this vital piece of software that is core to the success of the University's digital future.

You will work as an integral part of the programme team, creating and maintaining a strong stakeholder engagement network across our University, producing high quality and eye-catching materials and literature for internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities will include creating engaging, timely and high-quality content for internal engagement and communication, maintaining an up-to-date intranet site, monitoring and measuring communications channels and creating bulletins, briefings, posters and other collateral.

This will be a varied role at the heart of one of the University's most exciting projects and will suit someone with a blend of creativity, organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

Please demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria outlined in the knowledge, qualifications, training and experience elements of the job description in your supporting statement.

For an informal discussion to find out more about the role then please contact John Ward by email at [email protected].

Interviews will take place week commencing Monday 12th August 2024 and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until 31st December 2025 due to business demand.

Remote working is availble up to 2 days a week.

We offer a competitive salary package and a generous pension and holiday scheme. We also offer a range of other benefits/support mechanisms, including ongoing development opportunities, flexible working, staff networks and enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave.

A summary of our comprehensive benefits can be viewed here.

A successful external candidate for this position would be employed by the University of Plymouth Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Plymouth. Employees of the University of Plymouth Services Limited work alongside the University of Plymouth colleagues in delivery of Plymouth's strategic vision, and will adopt the University of Plymouth's HR policies and procedures in full unless otherwise stated.

The University of Plymouth is an inclusive community where everyone is welcomed regardless of their background. To find out more about our inclusive community initiatives, such as Athena Swan and the Race Equality Charter, please visit our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion webpages.
