Emerging Leaders Research Fellow

£39,347 rising to £42,978 Full Time, Fixed Term - Researcher

This is an exciting opportunity to develop an independent research group through a five-year research Fellowship. We are looking for a driven early- career researcher with a track record in the application of -omics technologies, big data and integrating AI approaches. Your research should complement our current portfolio (see https: // www. brookes.ac.uk/bms/research) but offer opportunities to expand our expertise. In particular, we are seeking applications from researchers applying genomics to conservation or using -omics to further our understanding of fundamental processes such as gene regulation, cellular signalling and communication, or protein synthesis and transport.

Under this scheme, you will be provided with a 5-year research only post providing long-term, flexible support to develop an independent research career. We provide high-quality professional development and networking opportunities as well as competitive internal pump-priming and research funding and fully funded studentships.

Research in the department is supported by our Centres for Bioimaging and Functional Genomics which house cutting edge equipment. We are part of the Euro-bioimaging network and play an active role in University cross- departmental research networks.

How to apply. Please click the 'apply for job' button below. Submit your application and include cover letter, full academic CV and your 5 year research plan on the template provided detailing your planned route to successfully building an independent research programme.
