Applications are invited for the David Fell Research Fellowship scheme in the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences, Oxford Brookes University. This is an exciting opportunity to develop an independent research group through a five-year research Fellowship.
We are looking for motivated early-career researchers with an existing track record to enhance the research already established at Brookes. Three Fellowships will be available, one under each of the broad themes of “Bioimaging linked to eukaryotic parasitology or mammalian cell biology”, “-omics and emerging technologies” and “big data in conservation”.
Your research should complement our current portfolio (see https: // www. brookes.ac.uk/bms/research) but offer opportunities to expand our expertise. Under this scheme, you will be provided with a 5-year research only post providing long-term, flexible support to develop an independent research career. We provide high-quality professional development and networking opportunities as well as competitive internal pump-priming and research funding and fully funded studentships.
Research in the department is supported by our Centres for Bioimaging and Functional Genomics which house cutting edge equipment. We are part of the Euro-bioimaging network and play an active role in University cross- departmental research networks.
When applying please include a cover letter, full academic CV and your 5 year research plan on the template provided below detailing your planned route to successfully building an independent research programme
