Project/Unit DescriptionThe Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is looking for Electrical Engineers to support the Airborne Test and Integration (ATI) Branch within the Sensor and Electromagnetic Application Laboratory (SEAL) in Smyrna, Georgia. The Electrical Engineer will work with a team to perform electrical design and testing tasks. These tasks include circuit design, test automation, and interface design. This role would leverage digital and analog design background to produce hardware for airborne and ground-based communications systems including the development and test of robust wired and wireless communication buses (Ethernet, MILSTD- 1553B, serial, RF). This role would also involve rapid prototyping efforts, development of proof-of-concept test-beds, and use of modeling, simulation, and test software.
Job PurposeThis position designs, develops and tests electronic circuits fabricated to support a wide range of programs. It utilizes electrical circuit design and analysis tools to layout and model circuit performance. It guides assembly, test and integration of electronic circuits. It tests, analyzes and diagnoses malfunctions in existing hardware. It researches component and material specifications and assembly and manufacturing methods for electronic circuits.
