The position requires: Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the area in which they will teach i.e:

Elementary education,

Middle school and high school subject areas,

Educational leadership,

Guidance and counseling,

Technology,

Curriculum design,

Early childhood, or reading.

In addition, the position requires:

Experience in the last three years in a K-12 classroom/school setting and

Current Professional Teaching Certificate in the State of Florida.

This is to fill part-time adjunct faculty positions as they become available in the Educator Preparation Institute.

The instructor must be available to teach all scheduled face-to-face and online classes,

Be able to provide consistency in following the syllabus provided,

Have excellent communication skills,

Be able to model the role of the teacher in the classroom,

Have skills in delivering coursework using Canvas, and

Must be available to attend faculty meetings and participate in curriculum development as needed.

Preferred Qualifications Supplemental Job Information

The College is seeking applicants to teach part-time for upcoming semesters.

Applications will remain actively on file for one year.

To be considered, applicants must have been awarded the qualifying degree.

If you are selected for a screening interview for an adjunct faculty position, you must bring an official transcript(s) in a sealed envelope from the educational institution to the interview.

Applicants with a qualifying degree from an educational institution outside the United States and Canada must submit a foreign credential evaluation from one of the members of the National Association of Credential Evaluations Services (website: www. naces.org). Scan the foreign credential evaluation and attach to the application or email a copy to the Employment Office.

Additional Documents Required

Applicants must attach a copy of their transcripts from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, showing attainment of at least the minimum qualifications, at the time of application. In addition, attach a copy of their resume at the time of application. If the transcript does not reflect the awarding of the qualifying degree, attach written documentation from the educational institution showing when the degree was awarded.
