We are looking for an inspirational and talented colleague to join the team at Hamilton Brookes in School of Education.
This is a unique opportunity for a visionary educationalist, determined to make a positive contribution to primary education. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Education Lead for Hamilton Brookes (www. hamilton-trust.org.uk). Hamilton's maxim is ‘Helping Teachers Teach and Children Learn'. We have a long history of providing top-quality teaching and learning materials for primary school teachers through our Hamilton website. Our reputation is well-established and, now in partnership with Oxford Brookes, we are poised to expand the range and scope of our activities.
We are seeking a leader of energy and enthusiasm, committed to shaping the future of teaching and learning in primary schools. We need someone who will provide a vision for the next phase of development for Hamilton Brookes and who also, as a member of the School of Education Leadership Team, contributes to the development of Education publishing, teacher education and education partnerships.
Working with senior colleagues in the area, you will take responsibility for line management of Hamilton Brookes staff and provide education leadership. Applicants should be people with a strong, well-grounded vision of good primary education. You also need to be good at managing people, passionate about talent management and committed to delivering outstanding publishing quality. You will demonstrate an enthusiasm for pedagogic innovation and quality enhancements, including in digital environments. You will actively support the development of a research-informed primary curriculum through strategic planning.
This post is part-time 0.6 FTE (equivalent of three days per week) for a fixed term of three years. Applicants who are seeking full-time employment can be considered for an additional lecturing role up to 0.4 FTE in Education; if you are interested in this, then please indicate this in your personal statement.
We are looking for a creative and innovative individual who can lead and inspire and is committed to the development of the Hamilton-Brookes suite of materials and sphere of activity, as well as the welfare of staff and other colleagues. You will anticipate change and be able to combine strategic thinking with operational management to support Hamilton-Brookes change and progress. You will be an excellent communicator with first class interpersonal skills, and as a team player you will have an enthusiastic and positive approach to work. Considerable experience and a research profile in the field of primary education are essential.

Candidates are usually appointed at the bottom of the salary range with a step pay increase until they reach the top of the salary scale.
