About the Department of Paediatrics
The Department of Paediatrics is the flagship representative of the University
partnership with the Royal Children's Hospital, and is co-located with the
hospital in Flemington Road, Parkville. The Department of Paediatrics is a
large department within the School of Medicine. The Department has
responsibility for the Child & Adolescent Health component of the Doctor of
Medicine course of the School.
About the Role
The Education Fellows are responsible for delivering teaching and learning
activities within established or new education programs on the Melbourne
Children's Campus, working under the guidance of and reporting to the Director
of the Education Hub.
In a typical week at work, you may:
Deliver teaching sessions in existing and/or new Melbourne Children's
education programs where applicable.
Support the implementation of new education initiatives or projects.
Support the evaluation of education programs
Undertake or contribute to the design, conduct or reporting of education
research on the Melbourne Children's Campus
You will be an enthusiastic individual who has the experience and commitment
to provide quality clinical teaching/education.
Ideally, you will further have:
AHPRA registration in Australia where required (or eligible for medical
registration in Australia) or eligibility for membership of an
appropriate professional body.
An accredited qualification in one of the health professions (across
Allied Health, Nursing or Medicine) employed at RCH
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact
positively and communicate effectively and in a timely manner with
clinical and academic colleagues, support staff, and students.
Ability to work as a part of a team to achieve excellent educational
