We have an exciting opportunity for an E-Resources Librarian to join us on a part-time basis!

About you:

Committed and eager

Experience of working in a library or similar environment

An awareness of E-Resources within a University Library context

Degree or equivalent in Librarianship / Information Science

Chartered status or willing to submit an application for this within 18 months of appointment

About the role:

This role sits within the University of Bath Library's E-Resources and Periodicals team.

The post holder will help to administer the library's growing collection of over 27,000 subscriptions to online/printed journals and databases, supporting the needs of students and staff undertaking research and teaching at the University.

With a focus on the user experience, you'll advise staff on e-resource issues and provide supervision to colleagues within the team.

Responsibilities will include:

Ordering new journal and database resources

Activating and making content available to users

Troubleshooting access problems

Collecting data to inform purchasing decisions

This is a part-time position within a job share, working 21.9 hours per week (Tues, Thurs and Fri, although some flexibility may be possible). It is offered on a fixed term basis until the end of 2023 whilst the existing postholder undertakes a secondment.
