The Department of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the areas of experimental
or theoretical condensed matter physics. Successful candidates will connect
with existing Departmental research activity in the fields of solid-state
quantum information processing and strongly correlated materials and will
expand into complementary areas, including mesoscopic devices and quantum
transport, low-dimensional electronic systems, quantum many-body physics, and
topological materials. Candidates must have a proven track record of
innovation and high-impact research and are expected to build a vigorous,
well-funded research program with international profile.
The successful applicant will hold the Dunson Cheng Assistant Professor of
