The Donor Stewardship Officer is responsible for implementing the Donor Stewardship Program to ensure donor satisfaction with their ongoing relationship with the University. This role supports fundraising activities by ensuring relationships with donors are respected and nurtured through high quality donor relations and stewardship initiatives, delivered both at-scale and bespoke. The Donor Stewardship Officer is responsible for devising a systematic approach to donor management, as well as contributing to individual moves management plans as required.

The role will develop, implement, and regularly review the donor stewardship matrix and calendar, including the coordination of high-quality engagement activities which serve to appropriately and frequently thank, recognise and acknowledge donor contributions. Donor relations activities will include the coordination of events, multi-channel and multi-stakeholder communications, and direct donor engagement.

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience in donor relations strategies, philanthropic administration, and fundraising.
  • Exemplary organisational skills including managing concurrent projects, working within budget, meeting timelines, reporting, and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with prospect tracking and record maintenance with donor databases.
  • Demonstrated high level written, verbal and electronic communications skills.
  • Capable of inspiring others, building trust and persuading them to commit to a cause.
