Due to the various and growing aspects of our diversity and inclusion work, the Charlie Waller Institute (CWI) is seeking to appoint an outstanding diversity and inclusion support officer (either for one person in role or job-share invited). You will join a vibrant, collegiate, team to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and supervision on our portfolio of highly- regarded graduate and postgraduate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) programmes. In our delivery of clinical programmes, we are working hard on both decolonising and diversifying our curricula.

The Charlie Waller Institute (CWI) is seeking to appoint driven and committed support officer who will provide a dedicated resource and support to the co-chairs of the CWI Diversity and Inclusion (D&I;) working group. The successful candidate(s) will take hold administrative duties supporting teaching and learning projects (e.g., completing literature reviews, sourcing and arranging experts by experience to contribute to teaching), data submissions for HEE regarding D&I; data, co-facilitate student and staff forums, partake and represent the institute at regional meetings with the co- chairs (e.g., Psychological Professionals Network).

We expect to appoint the successful candidate(s) to start in March 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applicants will have excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of diversity considerations and commitment to equity, inclusion and accessibility, and will be motivated to improve the training of mental health professionals.

You will have:

  • Experience of managing small scale projects with minimum supervision
  • Experience of analysing data and presenting summary information clearly.
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm for Diversity and Inclusion
  • The ability to deal with changing priorities
