Job Title:
Director of Student Ministries
Job Description:
The Director of Student Ministries is a full time position that resides over
Christ Covenant's High School and Middle School Youth Programs. He is
responsible for directing and maintaining a Gospel-centered ministry that
coincides with Scripture and the ideals of the church. This includes managing
four other youth staff members. While the Director of Student Ministries
manages the entire youth group, it specifically focuses on the spiritual
development of Christ Covenant High School Students. This includes but is not
limited to visiting, counseling, listening, and discipling students both
within and outside of the church.
Position Qualifications:
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the Middle School Director and additional staff in developing and
fulfilling the mission, vision, and purpose of the Christ Covenant Youth
Ministry.
Responsible for organizing ministries and hiring/training any additional
staff.
Provide opportunities for Christ Covenant youth to be involved in ministry
and missions.
Create programs that challenge students to grow in their Faith and build
community.
Develop curriculum for Sunday School, Discipleship Groups, and individual
mentoring.
Recruit and develop youth group volunteers from within the church.
Plan and lead both foreign and domestic mission trips.
Disciple and teach students in a large group, small group and one on one
setting.
Build programs that reach the unchurched youth in the community.
Pray for students on a regular basis
Job Qualifications:
A deep, committed, and growing Faith in Jesus Christ
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a ministry field
At least 5 years of experience in Youth Ministry
Prior experience in a leadership or managerial position is preferred
A firm foundation, understanding, and adherence to Reformed Theology
Agreement, support, and alignment with the Church's Statement of Faith,
Constitution, By-Laws, Policies, and procedures.
