JOB OVERVIEW
This community-oriented, worshipping church in the beautiful mountains of
north Georgia seeks a gifted leader who can inspire God's people through
biblical, Christ-centered, uplifting music and who has a passion and ability
to lead, encourage, and disciple youth. The Director of Music and Youth is
responsible/accountable to the Senior Pastor and Elder Board. This staff
member coordinates with the Senior Pastor to plan and lead the music for the
Sunday Worship Service at Trinity with approximately 160 in attendance. This
staff member is also responsible for teaching and discipling youth (grades
6-12) and for planning and leading the Youth Ministry with approximately
12-15 in attendance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Objectives
The primary objectives for this position are to (1) lead the congregation in
contemporary/traditional blended worship music that magnifies and glorifies
Jesus Christ and (2) disciple Trinity Youth by teaching the Word and
building mentoring relationships.
Responsibilities
1) Music Ministry (40%)
Recruit, train, schedule and rehearse worship team.
Coordinate worship service(s) with pastoral staff:
(a) Choose and prepare appropriate music from the Trinity song list,
including both traditional and contemporary music.
(b) Prepare and provide appropriate lyrics, music, and chord charts as
needed for all worship team members.
Lead Sunday morning worship with excellence to equip the congregation to
worship in song.
Coordinate with tech team for sound, lighting and media.
Lead music ministry for Youth group.
2) Youth Ministry (60%)
Teach Wednesday night Youth Service messages.
Lead Discipleship program for all Youth.
Provide overall direction and leadership for the Youth Ministry.
Plan and oversee Youth Ministry activities and programs that will
encourage spiritual growth and relational connection.
Build partnerships with schools, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young
Life and Homeschooling networks to reach new Youth and to grow the Youth
Ministry (including community youth events).
Build relationships with parents and families at Trinity.
Supervise and mentor any Youth ministry volunteers.
Plan camp and other regular social activities for teens.
Meet weekly with the church staff.

Full-time salary (40 hours/week) commensurate with experience and
qualifications

Vacation as negotiated
Compensation:
$55,000 – $65,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.

Position Qualifications:
Qualifications/Skills/Gifts
Mature Christian walk and commitment to Trinity's vision, values and
beliefs.
Ability to lead, set vision and objectives, and encourage ministry
volunteers.
Gifted in leadership, music and teaching the Word.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in related field of ministry.
Experience in youth ministry and music ministry.
Piano and/or guitar ability.
Ability to plan all relevant worship music components and successfully
lead the Worship Team and congregation in music worship.
Passion for reaching and discipling youth.
Ability to lead, encourage, and shepherd Youth.
