JOB.DESCRIPTION The Henry County Director oversees the general and daily operations of the DSCC Henry County Center, located in Paris, Tennessee. He/she is directly responsible for the activities conducted at the Henry County Center and implements the goals and objectives of the College in Henry County. He/she serves as the College's representative on the Henry County Advisory Committee and as a member of the College's Administrative Council. He/she also provides leadership, direction and supervision for the Henry County Center staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and implements a marketing strategy plan for the Henry County Center with assistance from the DSCC Office of Marketing and Public Relations and Office of Enrollment Services to identify and coordinate marketing strategies to enhance the College's presence in Henry County. Works with the DSCC Office of Marketing and Public Relations by taking photos of activities and events and writing cut lines to help promote activities near and at the Henry County Center. Represent DSCC at Chamber and other community functions in Henry County. Respond to the training and educational needs of the general public including business and industry. Conduct tours of the Henry County Center for individuals, clubs and industry prospects. Enforce security measures to safeguard assets, implement security procedures for the welfare of building occupants; supervise cleanliness of the building, schedule facility uses for academic and non-academic activities; coordinate community activities and special functions hosted at the Henry County Center in conjunction with the Chief of Police and Director of Physical Plant. Assist in the management of an annual operating budget for the Henry County Center and utilize sound accounting practices in the allocation and expenditure of fiscal resources. Train, schedule and supervise full-time and part-time employees and student workers and evaluate their performance in accordance with DSCC and Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) personnel policies. Oversee all day and evening collegecredit and non-credit classes. Provide instructional support as needed. Identify qualified adjunct faculty and coordinate selection with other DSCC personnel; provide assistance to both full-time and adjunct faculty teaching at the Henry County Center. Assist in the college's recruitment efforts by participating in programs for high school students and for the general public in Henry County. Inform prospective students about the enrollment process including admissions requirements, advising assistance, financial aid and payment processes, testing/placement and registration for classes. Work with college personnel to provide orientation sessions for new students. Work with staff members to promote the value of diversity among students as well as faculty and staff. Complete Master Advisor training and serve as a Master Advisor. Coordinate services in the areas of advising, financial aid, career exploration and student-led activities. Assist the President and the VP for Advancement and External Affairs in the college's fund-raising efforts to develop programs and scholarships for students who attend the Henry County Center. In coordination with the Business & Student Financial Services Manager, oversee the collection, custody and deposit of all Henry County Center funds and establish appropriate methods for safeguarding, accounting, and reporting in accordance with accepted procedures; supervise purchases for the Center within budget constraints. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on the quality of services delivered to DSCC students. Attends a minimum of ten (10) events in the area with the Vice President for the Academic Affairs and Student Services, Director of Enrollment Services or member of the recruitment team representing DSCC and provides reports on how DSCC can be involved in community initiatives Visits/Hosts local high schools a minimum of once a month for events promoting DSCC enrollment Develops and implements an outreach plan with recruitment team for the Henry County Center Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS: Sedentary: Deskwork; frequent travel may be required for college or program activities. Normal range of movement is expected. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse constituencies, including business and industrial community, public service professions, and higher education faculty, administrators and students. Appropriate experience in position(s) with extensive public interface requirements, preferably in Henry County. Leadership ability with high degree of initiative, organization, and flexibility. Demonstrated experience to manage multiple responsibilities. Demonstrated effectiveness planning and conducting educational programs, in working with adult learners, in marketing and recruiting skills and in written communications and oral presentations. Working knowledge of standard office equipment to include current computer software applications within a Microsoft Windows environment.

Minimum Requirements of Education and Experience: Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution. Two or more years of work experience in administrative and operational management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working at an off-site educational facility. College teaching experience.

Minimum starting pay is $49,100 annually ($25.17 per hour). With additional experience pay increases to a maximum pay of $61,400.
