Geosolutions Leeds leverages our world-leading expertise in Geology, Engineering, and Social Science to lead the energy transition through interdisciplinary subsurface research. Reporting to the Head of the School of Earth and Environment and ultimately to the Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (PDVC), the Director will lead Geosolutions Leeds, collaborating with the Faculty of Environment leadership, professional services colleagues, and Research Institutes. The Director will drive initiatives supporting research, innovation, education, and knowledge exchange, fostering a collaborative environment that addresses the global energy transition's urgent demands.

The ideal candidate is an established geoscience researcher, with a demonstrable track record of interdisciplinary research and academic leadership. The successful candidate should have a research agenda that is aligned with the mission of Geosolutions Leeds and the overall strategy of the University of Leeds. The successful candidate is also expected to demonstrate experience in bringing people together across different disciplines and sectors.
