Job Summary/Basic Function
About This Role:
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Admissions and Aid, and under the division of Enrollment Management, the Director provides vigorous leadership of all Student Financial Aid and Scholarship operations. This position provides direction and management of a multi-million-dollar budget which ensures financial stability for endowed funds and educational access for Lamar financial aid recipients. The successful candidate is responsible for policy development, implementation, and long-range planning that advances the university's goals, mission and vision. This role designs systems that open new opportunities for equitable access to a Lamar University education and develops strategies to effectively deploy university fiscal resources and personnel to achieve these goals. In addition, the Director creates an environment that promotes and celebrates a positive customer service experience. Further, the Director maintains excellent relationships with the communities of interest impacted by this position. The Director provides leadership to approximately 30 staff and works closely with various entities across campus.
