DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
Huston-Tillotson University is currently seeking qualified applicants for the Director of Career Services and Graduate Development position. This position is housed in the Division of Student Affairs and reports to the Dean of Student Affairs. The person selected will be responsible for developing job opportunities for students and recent graduates, providing career counseling to students and recent graduates, designing, and implementing educational opportunities related to career options in the students academic field, tracking and reporting employment statistics, representing the Office of Career Services and Graduate Development to external groups, and assisting with the daily management of office functions, among other duties.

POSITION STATUS
Bachelors degree required (masters preferred) with at least five (5) years of career services experience. The ideal candidate will have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation. Organizational and planning skills are a must as is attention to detail. The ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with employers is essential. Candidate should be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products and in social media.

Founded in 1875, Huston-Tillotson University is Austin's first institution of higher education. The University is an independent, liberal arts, church- related, historically black institution located on a 23-acre tree-lined campus near downtown Austin, Texas.
