Location: Chapman Hall, Appleton, WI. Full-time remote work eligible.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
In collaboration with the VP for Enrollment Management and Dean of Admissions,
lead the Admissions team in collecting, storing, and exporting the data that
is essential for the job functions throughout the office. Responsible for
managing all aspects of the Technolutions CRM, Slate, and leveraging it to
help us recruit bright, talented, and diverse students to meet our enrollment
goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the data entered into the CRM, Slate, is done so efficiently and
accurately.
Lead regular system audits to ensure the system is serving our needs.
Oversee the importing and exporting of Slate data.
Continuously innovate the ways in which we use Slate by staying updated on
new releases and best practices. Regularly attend conferences, webinars,
workshops, etc.
Facilitate and monitor the admission decision release and financial aid
release processes.
Enhance and maintain the applicant portal which is used to communicate
with students and collect information from them.
Work with consultants and third-party vendors (EAB, MarketVIEW, Niche,
etc.) to ensure data is accurate and that we are optimizing our
partnerships.
Collaborate with colleagues in Information Technology to ensure the data
integrity of Slate and the interface with the University's enterprise
planning system (EPS), Banner.
Assist in organizing and delivering the communication flows to students,
families, and other stakeholders. This includes mailings sent throughout
the year.
Lead, teach, and professionally develop the Admissions, Financial Aid and
Athletics departments on their usage of Slate.
Manage the changes and updates for online applications and admission cycle
preparation.
Maintain secure and appropriate user access and permissions in Slate.
Ensure data is shared and stored securely.
Document operations processes for the purpose of record keeping and
training.
Help foster a culture of data informed decision-making.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Work collaboratively with staff and faculty as well as prospective students,
their families, current students, alumni, school counselors, and independent
counselors from a variety of backgrounds.
KNOWLEDGE , SKILL, AND ABILITIES:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
Experience with Slate is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated technical expertise and facility with data and coding;
experience in managing data base systems.
Experience in training and supervising staff.
Exceptional communication, organizational, time management and
interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating as part of a team
environment.
Demonstrated cultural competencies to work with diverse populations of
students.
Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends and
attend conferences to continually develop and evolve with industry and
market changes.
Positive attitude to contribute to a fun-loving, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of SQL, XML or other coding languages preferred; or demonstrated
ability to learn.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Must have successful completion of criminal record check, driving record check
and reference checks.
