The compensation for this appointment will range from $64,480.00 to $66,000.00
annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to
pay for this staff appointment. Actual compensation may vary based on the
qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions.

Position Summary Information
Summary
Provide management and coordination of administrative and academic operations
related functions within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences,
including but not limited to administration, accreditation, executive support
to the dean, academic engagement, and community and stakeholder engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as the primary point of administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and institutions.
Performs research and analysis on specific issues, as required, and independently prepares non-routine communication and/or reports, which may be highly sensitive and confidential in nature.
Facilitates and provides oversight for College events.
Provides executive facilitation of specific projects related to the long-term goals of the College, such as strategic planning, budget analysis, etc.
Provides supervision for the planning and implementation of project management, including College events and directs the involvement of CBSS administrative support staff in consultation with department chairs.
Oversees processes and procedures and makes recommendations to improve the efficiency of the programmatic efforts within the College.
Provides supervision of facility management, including repairs, furniture, IT and the oversight of faculty and staff office moves.
Interprets, implements, and ensures compliance with university academic and administrative policies and procedures within an operating unit. Recommends new internal policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Coordinates and manages the communication, meetings, and events for Dean's Community Advisory Council and the CBSS donors.
Provides supervision for student workers.
Provides supervision of the maintenance of contracts/agreements with outside vendors.
Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes minutes of meetings, as needed.
Compiles and prepares updated budget reports, processes requisitions and summary sheets.
Coordinates the inventory and procurement of all equipment and supplies related to daily CBSS functions.
Provides supervision and oversite of website management and content validity for CBSS website, faculty profile pages and CBSS social media sites.
Supervises the hiring process including interview scheduling for full-time faculty and HR paperwork and onboarding processes for all adjunct, TA and student workers.
Manages Dean's calendar, independently schedules appointments, answers and screens Dean's telephone calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible.
Performs other duties to support the Office of the Dean.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is responsible for assigning work and/or giving direction to
part-time Student Workers, in order to complete office work assignments.

Knowledge of standard budgeting and expenditure control procedures and
documentation.
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Ability to train staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling
assignments.
Ability to create, compose, edit and organize written materials.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work
effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body.
Ability to resolve complaints from constituents inside and outside the
university.
Ability to demonstrate exceptional professionalism and respect to others.
Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
Must be highly organized who is able to remain calm in a fast-paced,
environment.
Attention to detail and ability to follow-through with projects a must.
Education and/or Experience
Master's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related professional
supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
