As Marketing & Communications Director for The Paul Merage School of Business, this role has the highest level of Marketing and Communications authority at the School, serves as the strategic leader of an in-house marketing services department, and is the primary liaison to the University-level Communications Department. This position is responsible for overseeing communication and outreach via traditional, multimedia, and technology-oriented delivery, and maintains the messaging of the Merage School website and all social media accounts. This hands-on position writes and edits copy, interprets market research, uses Google Analytics, develops promotional and sales messaging, analyzes return on investment, and advises on strategies for revenue generation for our graduate admissions department. This role will leads efforts to reach and attract target audiences for all other Merage School departments with a focus on inclusive excellence.

Required:
Minimum of 10 years of experience with a marketing and communications team, post-secondary school or senior level corporate experience preferred.
6-8 years in a leadership role required.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Solid management skills to select, train, evaluate, lead, direct, guide and motivate subordinate staff to produce high quality work; skill to take corrective action as required.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, project management and problem recognition, avoidance and resolution skills.
Strong knowledge of all aspects of communications, including strategic planning for various media venues, technical aspects and requirements of various venues, and the most appropriate and effective applications.
Solid written, verbal, interpersonal communications, active listening and political acumen skills.
Broad knowledge and understanding of technical applications to effectively manage / supervise professional technical staff, including design concepts, various media and mediums, applications, etc.
Strong skills to ensure production of high quality work within budget and time constraints.
Solid knowledge and skills to advise and consult with management to ensure delivery of the desired message to the target and / or broad general audiences.
Strong knowledge of financial and personnel management, including understanding of management techniques, guiding principles, relevant laws, policies and best practices.
Solid skills to create, develop and implement comprehensive long- and short- term strategic communications plans.
Preferred:
MBA preferred.
Strong knowledge of the location, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, practices and infrastructure, and a strong knowledge of current affairs, issues in higher education and / or health sciences, and / or specialized subject matter.
Special Conditions Required:
Must have the ability to work onsite as needed. Some local travel required.
