The Opportunity
The Director, Major Projects will be responsible for the provision of high- level advice, project management and research to inform senior decision-making and support the strategic directions of the Provost's office.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Director, Major Projects will take a lead role in researching and benchmarking in order to provide the intelligence to inform key strategic initiatives and projects, including developing and managing programs, preparing proposals and presentations, as well as influencing and negotiating on internal priorities and agendas.
This role will also be responsible for leading, managing and coordinating key projects with a whole of university impact, drawing on resources and subject matter experts to achieve the outcomes and aims of the Provost.
Key to this role is demonstrated strong project management skills and experience in developing and implementing strategic solutions to complex projects and problems. In addition, the successful candidate will have exceptional communication, consulting and relationship management skills with the ability to expertly prepare briefings and other papers, provide authoritative advice and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels.
