Description
Responsibilities: Provides oversight and direction for the university's International Student Services Office, including administrative duties, international student recruiting and retention activities, compliance with immigration procedures, SEVIS, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and international student orientation and support services. Represents the university overseas, at conferences, and at domestic student forums. Overseas travel is required on occasion. Weekend and/or evening hours is required on occasion, to include international student arrivals, orientation and special events.
Minimum Requirements: 1. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required. 2. A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a management role in higher education is required. 3. Experience in providing international student services is preferred, to include at least recruiting and compliance activities. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required. 5. Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required. 6. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills. 7. Must possess a current and valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage. 8. Must be available for domestic and international travel as required.
