Position Director for Fine Arts Camps (2023 Summer Employment)

Job Category Summer Job Description

The Director for Fine Arts Camp will work with the summer camp management team to insure that camp operations run smoothly. Duties will include working under the direction of the Assistant Director for Pre College programs, The Special Assistant for Strategic Initiatives and Business Strategy and CCE staff in managing our Fine Arts day and overnight programs . The Director will assist in communicating with parents, nursing staff, CCE staff, provide supervision for classroom schedules, instructors, camp counselors, the Night Time Supervisor and various campus service agencies.

Job Duties

  • Responsible each week for the supervision and safety of campers, ages 10-16, in the residence hall, on field trips, and at all day/evening activities.
  • Communicate with Camp Staff, CCE staff and parents as needed.
  • Responsible for assisting instructors and counselors with three organized activitiies, talent shows, and evening performances.
  • Responsible for assisting at Sunday registration, orientation and departure each week.
  • Serve as a role model for young adults.
  • Required attendance at a wrap-up session at the end of the program.

    • Minimum Qualifications

    College graduate and minimum two years of camp experience

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous camp experience helpful, preferrably as a supervisor
  • Prior experience in supervising girls ages 10-17
