Endicott College is seeking a Director, Academic Budget & Operations who will be responsible for directing the administrative and financial operations of the Academic Affairs Division.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manages financial and budget activities within Academic Affairs, including working with budget managers to set priorities, prepare annual budgets, and think strategically about resources needed to advance academics at the College
  • Provide oversight of the Workday ERP system as it applies to the Division of Academic Affairs. Collaborate with Business Office on best practices and system design to maximize Workday efficiently and effectively within Academic Affairs
  • Identify and implement leading practices within the division on matters of internal controls, accounting, reporting, procurement, compliance, financial planning and budgeting.
  • Administer budget and resource allocation and maintain budgets for multiple programs and departments in the Division of Academic Affairs
  • Monitor and analyze budgets to assess fiscal outcomes and improve processes; identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
  • Guide financial processes by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; provide training; explain processes and techniques and train employees on Finance/Budget best practices.
  • Support the deans, directors and administrative coordinators in the effective hiring and onboarding of adjuncts through Workday and in collaboration with the Business and HR offices. Create and manage a database of adjuncts to ensure workloads are within the guidelines established by the college and the faculty union (ECFA).
  • Support strategic plans and initiatives by translating them into action plans; identify and implement leading practices within the division
  • Partner with key administrative offices across campus to develop clear policies, procedures and practices that ensure the integrity of all activities at the College; serve as primary contact between the Provost Division and Administration and Finance.
  • Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree preferred or combination of Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of related administrative experience in an academic setting
  • Ability to keep track of numerous details, work independently, multi-task and make decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google platform.
  • Knowledge of Workday preferred
  • Understanding of risk management
  • Ability to build relationships; team player
