The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked the No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the No. 2 hospital in Texas by U.S. News and World Report , is seeking a part-time Radiologist. Candidates should be excited to work in an academic environment and committed to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Divisional duties include interpreting a full range of diagnostic imaging studies and providing the best care possible to patients in consultation with referring physicians, and clinical expertise with radiograph interpretation, body CT imaging, and general ultrasound is expected. Interventional, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, mammography, cross-sectional musculoskeletal imaging or pediatric radiology is not required. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Applicants should meet these qualifications:

  • Fellowship training or equivalent experience
  • Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas
  • Clinical expertise with radiograph interpretation, body CT imaging, and general ultrasound
  • Community Radiology Division & Facilities:

  • The Community Radiology Division currently includes 17 faculty and 4 radiologist assistants.
  • Service locations include Parkland Health & Hospital System, University Hospitals and 6 ambulatory clinics. State-of-the-art equipment is available at all locations.
  • The PACs system is integrated with the EMR for easy review of relevant history by the interpreting radiologist.
  • Standardized dictation templates are utilized for ease of decision support in up-to-date radiology interpretations and recommendations. Radiologist- led quality assurance programs ensure patients are safely and optimally imaged.
  • Collaborative Resources:

  • Faculty members have academic time as appropriate for special projects
  • Radiology Department Resources of administrative, biostatistical and logistical support are provided
