We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced research and due diligence professional to join the Prospect Development team within the Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations office.
What will you do?
As the Development Research and Due Diligence Specialist, you will provide expertise and knowledge for the University's development research and due diligence function designed to support and maximise our fundraising efforts.
You will undertake research to facilitate decisions about principal and major gift fundraising activity. The Specialist will also undertake due diligence research that facilitates decisions about the acceptance of donations to help the University mitigate reputational risks. Conducting proactive and responsive research to identify and refine knowledge about potential prospects, you will also help to continue to grow our fundraising pipeline.

Substantial experience in research and/or due diligence as well as an understanding of fundraising and alumni relations functions is desirable. Where will you work?
The Development and Alumni Relations office has an outstanding track record of engaging Cambridge's global alumni community and securing philanthropic income for the Collegiate University, having just successfully completed our £2 billion campaign. We are responsible for coordinating University-wide development campaigns and raising funds to support Schools, Faculties, Departments, and other central University institutions. We work closely with Cambridge's 31 Colleges and our sister office, Cambridge in America, to maximise alumni engagement and fundraising with our constituencies across the globe.
This role is based in central Cambridge. We practise a hybrid working model and the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week.
