Offer Description

The project target the assembly of new photoactive materials where carbon nitride derivatives are combined with single metal atoms. The design and preparation of such materials will be based on both conventional and innovative synthetic strategies. The materials will be subject to an extended characterization, which will include advanced in situ or operando techniques such as EPR and XAS. Photocatalytic organic reactions will then be investigated with the prepared materials, focusing on three specific classes of reactions: 1) carbonylation of double bonds to produce carboxylic acids; 2) functionalization of aminoacid derivatives; 3) synthesis of anilines with concomitant H2 evolution.
