  • The research activity concerns the study of an innovative decentralized hot water storage tank developed within a centralized hydronic system for air conditioning and domestic hot water production, consisting of heat pumps electrically powered by photovoltaics. This project will contribute to the definition of the energy and hydraulic characteristics of the plug-and-play devices of the HVAC system, also considering the problems of cost and ease of installation. The advantages of the new system compared to other traditional domestic hot water storage systems will be highlighted. The analyzes will be conducted by implementing an energy model of a real building, through dynamic simulations using the TRNSYS software. Finally, the results obtained from the numerical simulations will allow the thermal and energy optimization of the plants
