  • The aim of the research project is the development of a prototype of a pharmaceuticalproduct based on PEA oxazoline (PEAOxa), to be used to counteract the processes ofpersistent inflammation and neuroinflammation associated with chronic pain. It is a naturalmolecule, inhibitor and modulator of the enzyme NAAA (N-acylethanolamine-hydrolyzingacid amidase), as well as endogenous regulator of the endocannabinoid system. Amongthe planned activities there is the development of an analytical method for the extractionand determination of the active ingredient PEA-Oxa in biofluids and tissues, and theapplication of this method on samples from clinical trials.
