About the Role
You will join the Desktop Services Team which is part of the Customer Services Group in IT Services. You will support the Desktop Technical Lead in providing technical expertise and guidance to all Desktop Services staff who support the Managed Desktop Service. This will include deputising for the Desktop Technical Lead in their absence to provide and support the effective and efficient delivery of the service.
You will be a real advocate of excellent customer service and demonstrate a drive and desire to deliver this alongside the provision of professional IT support.
You will be familiar with current trends in IT, have familiarity with scripting methodologies as well as have the desire to learn new IT skills, deliver solutions in a timely, consistent and conscientious manner and be committed to keeping track of your outstanding work, ensuring colleagues and users are kept informed of progress.
You will also be a real team player but still be comfortable working alone
