The IT Academic Technology Department at St. Catherine University invites
applications for a full-time Designer – Instruction and Technology.
The IT Academic Technology Department supports academic platforms and
technology which is critical for faculty, staff, and students. Our team
ensures that faculty have the tools, resources and knowledge to effectively
teach in online and hybrid environments. The Designer – Instruction and
Technology position works closely with instructors who teach in all delivery
formats (face-to-face, hybrid and fully online) to provide information and
guidance in the use of effective digital learning strategies, online best
practices, and a broad range of technological tools to support learners in
reaching student learning outcomes. This position requires working some
evenings and weekends to accommodate the scheduling needs of our active

Two years of experience in educational technology or instructional design.
Experience working with instructional design concepts and principles,
adult learning theory, needs assessment, distance learning best practices,
and instructional technology integration.
Experience creating and delivering faculty/instructor training and

College or University coursework in the area of: Educational Technology,
Technology Integration, Instructional Systems Design, Distance Education,
Curriculum and Instruction, Education, or closely related field.
Experience working in higher education.
Knowledge of best practices for technology usage within online learning

materials in a higher education environment.
