    Position Overview

    This position serves as the lead point of contact for interior design & small renovation projects typically ranging up to $1 million in budget and is responsible for the coordination and oversight of programming, design, ff&e and the execution of construction for small interior renovations.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related experience, and NCIDQ Certification or Registered Interior Designer in State of Texas; or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to handle management of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD software and production of Construction Documents.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Preferred work experience related to campus/facilities planning, design, and construction.

    Required License / Registration / Certification

    NCIDQ Certification or Registered Interior Designer in State of Texas

    Work Schedule

    Monday – Friday. 8 AM – 5 PM.

    Job Duties

    o

    Serves as subject matter expert in interior design, space planning, ADA requirements, building codes, and utilization of FF&E.

    o

    Meets directly with departments and end-users to determine program, scope, and budget for interior design, renovation, and FF&E needs.

    o

    Utilize AutoCAD software to develop schematic drawings, pricing plan & notes, and up to construction documents for interior renovations

    o

    Ability to manage installations, perform and coordinate punch lists, follow up on furniture installations of quality and condition of furniture.

    o

    Manages design standards and furniture standards for campus

    o

    Develop finish and ff&e presentations for departments
