Deputy Ceremonial Officer (Part Time)

Applications are invited for the part-time (0.6 FTE / 22.2hrs pw) post of Deputy Ceremonial Officer in the Governance and Compliance Division of the Unified Administrative Service, assigned to the Vice-Chancellor's Office.

The hours will normally be worked across Monday-Friday, but with some flexibility to work at weekends and into the evening if necessary, to support particular occasions.

The role sits within a team of four (including the Ceremonial Officer) reporting to the Head of the Vice-Chancellor's Office. The role-holder will strengthen and provide greater resilience to the Office when meeting its responsibilities around ceremonial and for events which involve the most senior figures in the University and the Colleges, working with University and College staff across Cambridge, and engaging with Royal and other VIP visitors, civic partners and the general public.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, will have people and resource management skills, experience of service delivery and planning and possess the capacity to contribute to policy development.
