Contract type

Fixed Term (12 months) from 01 October 2022 (as soon as possible thereafter) to 30 September 2023

Part time (28 hours/0.75 FTE)

About the role

The Faculty of Classics invites applications for a 1-year fixed-term Departmental Lecturer in Classical Sexuality and Gender Studies. The postholder is expected to engage in advanced study and research in any aspect of Sexuality and Gender Studies of the ancient world, and to lecture and teach both undergraduate and graduate students. You will also be expected to engage in examination assessment, admissions processes, and Faculty administration.

About you

You will hold a doctorate in Ancient History or a related field and have the ability to teach undergraduate students at the highest level and a strong commitment to the tutorial system.

You will also have sufficient depth and breadth of knowledge in the subject to develop course materials, and a have a strong research and publication record.
