The Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) is looking for an experienced administrator to take up the post of Department Teaching Administrator. This is a key post in the Department, responsible for overseeing the administration and processes across four postgraduate programmes and Part II of the undergraduate programme. This role will also be secretariat for the Department's Degree Committee.
The post holder will directly line manage six members of the professional team overseeing all course related duties. The post holder oversees admissions for the aforementioned postgraduate programmes as well as ensuring that all the Departmental ranking and submissions to funding competitions are managed appropriately.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to become involved in strategic work and a wide range of projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will have previous experience of running programmes, committee work and ideally a very good awareness of University policies and procedures.
