Demonstrator for Finance Courses at Postgraduate Level in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 520400) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good Master's degree in Finance or Economics, or a related discipline, with at least 2-3 years' work experience in a business school or a comparable environment. They should have excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a good command of written and spoken English. Excellent quantitative skills in mathematics and computer programming are necessary for part of the position. Those with professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM and CAIA, together with experience in academic programme administration and teaching support in tertiary institutions are preferred.
The appointee will work with the course instructors and the Programme Office to conduct tutorials and workshops in English for postgraduate courses, prepare course materials, support programme administration and curriculum development, as well as grade assignments and tests. He/She will also organise field trips and other academic activities, support examination invigilation, assist in coordinating teaching tasks and examination matters, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Programme Director and the Programme Office. The appointee will work at the Faculty's Cyberport campus, and may need to work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends.
