Provide administrative staffing support to the Dean's Office of the Larner College of Medicine, supporting the Dean, Executive Assistant to the Dean, and senior leaders of the College in their roles in the Dean's Office. Communicate with and respond to requests from individuals within the College, across the University, from our partners at the UVM Foundation and the UVM Medical Center/Health Network, and from alumni and community stakeholders. Prepare materials, including institutional documents, personnel files, and meeting materials. Coordinate national and international travel for the Dean and accompanying leaders. Assist in coordinating calendars and schedules.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associates degree and three years' experience required. Effective organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, attention to details and interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required. Effective analysis, troubleshooting and time-management skills required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities. Proficiency in word- processing, electronic spreadsheets, and calendaring required. Ability to use discretion regarding disclosure and dissemination of highly confidential information required.
Ability to deal with a wide variety of individuals and respond to their varying needs including UVM, College of Medicine, UVMMC and the general public. Ability to take initiative and work independently, ability to work in high pace, sometimes stressful environment and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability in using tack and diplomacy. Experience in a professional executive office desirable.
