We are looking for a Data Services and Information Research Librarian to join the University Libraries to provide quality service for Technology Support Services and/or other functional area(s).
The Role
This appointee will work under the general direction of the Associate Librarian, Technology Support Services. Working within a growing digital development team, the Data Services and Information Research Librarian will participate in developing the Library's digital collections and digital scholarship initiatives. The appointee will be responsible for: (i) collecting, analyzing, building visualizations and dashboards in data platform, and generating reports for quantitative and qualitative data gathered from various sources (including library systems, vendor statistics, observations, surveys, web analytics, etc.); (ii) coordinating, maintaining, and analyzing circulation, reference, and other statistics; (iii) analyzing data for trends and patterns and to find answers to specific questions; (iv) assisting in policy formulation for effective data management and analysis for business assessment; (v) identifying and deploying appropriate tools and technologies to deliver digital projects (such as data visualization, text mining and encoding, data analysis, programming and scripting languages, etc.); (vi) participating in special events or program; (vii) staying abreast of and evaluating current and emerging digital tools and methodologies support in the area of digital libraries.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree and a recognized professional qualification and a Master's degree in library and information science (e.g. M.L.S. or equivalent), and at least 2 years' post-qualification relevant experience in academic libraries or research institutions OR an equivalent experience working with digital scholarship and data analytics development.

What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 3 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
