BackgroundCity, University of London (City) and Autistica are collaborating to deliver a 30-month project to validate and promote an accreditation scheme that demonstrates how well businesses include and support neurodivergent individuals in the workplace. The project will populate and analyse a data rich equity index that helps UK employers reduce inequalities and increase workforce diversity.
The Associate will follow Autistica's hybrid working practices, working from home and from Autistica's offices in Clerkenwell, London, visiting the Department of Psychology at City as required.
Autistica is the UK's leading autism research and campaigning charity. Their mission is to create breakthroughs that enable autistic people to live happier, healthier, longer lives by shaping and growing research across the UK, funding and creating new and innovative research solutions, campaigning for better services and shaping national policy.
ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be the driver of this KTP partnership, working with academic and company partners to ensure key objectives are met. The Associate will apply statistical models to data, develop facilitated and robust data storage and access techniques, and automate the index.
In addition, the candidate will identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the collected baseline data, and manage stakeholders, engage with employers, and effectively communicate benefits and criticality of neurodiversity inclusion.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with a BSc in Psychology, Social Sciences, or Data Science and and MSc of other higher degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, or Data Science, with focus on data management and analysis. The candidate will have extensive knowledge of statistical packages such as R or STATA, experience in use of statistical analysis software such as SPSS, JASP, or R, and experience of working with large-scale data sets.
The ideal candidate would have knowledge of neurodiversity and inclusive employment practices, as well as experience of working within not-for-profit or charitable organisations.
