Academic Registry fulfils a dual role at the University by being an expert provider of fundamental University-wide academic services and being a dynamic influencer of academic policy.

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Data Administrator in Academic Registry's Student Data & Statutory Reporting team.

The Data Administrator will provide an important role in supporting the provision of high-quality data analysis to both internal and external audiences. This will involve assisting with the preparation and submission of returns to statutory bodies as well as ownership in responding to Freedom of Information requests.

The role holder will support a wide range of student data reporting and you will act as first point of contact for ad-hoc data requests, in addition to maintaining internal databases and developing an understanding for the data and system processes required for statutory returns.

As well as maintaining and generating data published on the University's internal and external webpages, the Data Administrator will provide administrative support for internal working groups and committees in addition to other data linked administrative duties.

About You

As Data Administrator, you will bring excellent organisational skills and a positive outlook to the team. Applicants for this post should have outstanding attention to detail, demonstrable experience of working with a complex database and feel confident in working as part of a team, providing a high standard of service to stakeholders across the University.

Whilst experience of using University-specific software such as Tribal (SITS) will be highly advantageous, training can be provided where needed. Most importantly, we are looking for a reliable, adaptable and confident data administrator with strong IT skills, an understanding of data accessibility good practice and someone who is able to learn new concepts, processes and software with appropriate guidance.

The role holder will be passionate about process improvement, building relationships with service users and stakeholders, and personal continuous development.
