To provide excellent customer service and advanced administrative support in the Office of the Registrar. Handle heavy front counter customer service and administrative tasks with the frequent exercise of independent judgment. Engage in various records duties and other office transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering customer service at the front counter for inquiries related to the University of Texas at Arlington and referring to the appropriate department.
  • Duties include providing students with accurate and timely information about the status of their records, grades, class schedule, document requests, and other registrar-related functions. Other front counter duties include administrative support, including accepting documents and responding to emails and questions that are subject to the University policies and procedures.
  • Provide triage services when needed during peak times.
  • Direct students to the appropriate campus buildings.
  • Assist with processing rush transcripts and special projects for the processing area.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma with three (3) years of customer service experience or the equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to talk and type simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of various MS Office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Experience working with integrated student information system, such as PeopleSoft (MyMav).
