UNT Dallas is a growing presence in southern Dallas. The UNT Dallas Facilities Operation and Maintenance department is a service organization. The department is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the UNT Dallas Buildings located at 7300 University Hills Boulevard in Dallas and 106 S. Harwood street in Downtown Dallas. The Department is responsible for most of the services needed to maintain and operate the buildings on campus. Our goal is to provide world class support for the UNT Dallas by ensuring safe, reliable, efficient facility and utility services delivered with outstanding customer services and effective stewardship of resources and the environment.
The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for the position of Custodial Manager.
This position is responsible for mentoring, training, and assigning duties to lower level personnel, involving the aesthetic care of the University's internal and immediate external premises. Diagnoses & repair of small equipment, cleaning and sanitation emergencies, delivering custodial supplies and special projects. Schedule and approve all custodial time, including overtime and leave, as well as conduct annual performance evaluations. Work is performed in accordance with established policies, industry standards, and specific work assignments. The position is considered essential and may be called in for emergency weather or natural disaster response.

Oversee and assign duties to custodians.
Performs skilled repairs, and required documentation, to small custodial equipment; including electrical plugs, vacuum belts & brushes.
Responds to custodial emergency calls, performing required cleaning and sanitation duties.
Operates University vehicle to deliver supplies.
Report and document gas mileage, and any needed repairs to custodial vehicles.
Responsible for cleaning duties of all flooring, furniture, walls, ceilings, windows, windowsills, woodwork, restrooms, drinking fountains and other surfaces of assigned work area.
Train custodians on industry cleaning and equipment usage standards.
Completes special projects as assigned.
Supervise, and assist, custodial personnel with special projects.
Observes safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.
