As a Curriculum Lead, you will join the School Leadership Team (SLT) to manage and guide the Engineering Science & Analysis curriculum across our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who will drive the School's vision and ambitions for this curriculum and to support staff in effective delivery of high-quality courses that are engaging, innovative and responsive.

The role-holder will have strategic responsibility for leading curriculum development and for managing the allocation of resources to ensure performance and growth targets are achieved. It would be highly advantageous to have a good working knowledge of how Engineering Science & Analysis fits into the curriculum at all levels, and how this complements traditional Mechanical Engineering (such as Solid, Thermo and Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Management, Manufacturing and Control) and new emerging disciplines. The successful candidate will be able to work across the course and module teams in order to identify emerging state-of-the-art themes and technologies are incorporated within the curriculum and lead changes to ensure positive and effective delivery.

In working with a range of stakeholders, the Curriculum Lead will play an active role in enhancing the school's scholarly culture, deepening our engagement with our research institutes and developing partnerships with professional bodies, international partners, alumni, and other relevant organisations.

You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation. You will be expected to undertake curriculum development, design and delivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and responsive, that achieves excellent student learning outcomes. You must be willing to work flexibly to promote and support international partnerships, as well as potentially deliver teaching onsite at one of our international partners.

The candidate should be qualified to PhD level in a relevant subject area or have comparable industrial experience. Experience of working in professional educational practice/consultancy projects, as well as experience of working on applied research projects, will be advantageous.
