The Directorate of Academic and Student Administration is recruiting for a Course and Student Information Adviser.
This role sits within a busy team and will support the management of student and curriculum data within a student records system. The post will include supporting Exam Committee processes, enrolment and data checking.
You should have:
A familiarity with Higher Education.
An understanding of, and experience in, the provision of information, advice and guidance and of using complex database management systems e.g. a student records system.
The ability to work on own initiative, under pressure and prioritise tasks, meet regular deadlines and solve complex problems.
An understanding of the importance of providing an excellent customer service, of data quality and integrity.
Experience of training.
Overall purpose of post:
To provide comprehensive specialist administrative support for students from enrolment through to final award.
To analyse, create and maintain curriculum and student information and support the Curriculum and Student Information Managers with the authorisation of changes to the University's curriculum information.
To provide training and guidance to students and staff in their use of the student records system (and its interface) and to staff regarding the operation of University examination committee processes.
Provide guidance for administrative and academic staff on University regulations and protocols, assessment and award; analyse student record information and make recommendations for consideration at University examination committees.
